The meeting between the Korean origins of Bo-Yeon Han and the rose wine of Chateau Puech Haut IGP Pays d'Oc
Bag in Box
Chateau Puech-Haut
Elegant and collectors, the metal barrels of the Puech Haut domain (Herault) are decorated by international artists. In them, we find wine vintages as pleasant as the visuals, in plastic bags of 3L: white, red or rose, you have the choice (it may however be that all the wines are not available for the same artist).
Discover here the rose wine barrel decorated by the Korean artist Bo-Yeon Han, who wanted to celebrate his origins through this work.
Chateau Puech Haut and its Bib'Art
The Bib'art adventure began in 2000, when the Chateau Puech Haut imagined a 3L rose wine container that is design and can proudly stand in the center of a table.
The Chateau then decided to give carte blanche to international artists of all backgrounds and graphic styles to decorate the wooden barrels of the domain. For the duration of a work, they share the same wooden "canvas". The decorations are then printed on the small metal barrels containing the bag of wine.
The Bib'Art Puech-Haut are thus exact replicas of the barrels painted by the artists, a dream sharing between wine and art. Each barrel is signed and numbered to the delight of collectors. In exchange, the artists receive the quantity of wine contained in the barrel: the content for the container!
More than a hundred artists have already participated in this crazy adventure. At BienManger.com, we offer you the new releases each year, as well as the great classics.
The artist Bo-Yeon Han
Proud of his Asian origins, Bo-Yeon Han celebrates his roots through a unique creation for Chateau Puech Haut. This artist, in love with color, uses the codes of Korean mythology and draws the duality that unites the two Koreas. This work, almost committed, features the tiger which is the animal symbolizing the entire Korean peninsula, North and South. We also find on the barrel the sign of the Ying and the Yang which usually dresses the Korean flag. Bo Yeon Han signs here a work that celebrates wine but also the principles of Ying and Yang that give rhythm to the life of the inhabitants of his country. A founding principle that calls for balance and invites to live in harmony.
Le Benjamin de Puech-Haut wines
Starting from a virgin piece of land near Montpellier, in the foothills of the Cevennes, the Puech Haut estate is now one of the largest vineyards in the region. Its 115 hectares benefit from a Mediterranean climate, on land identical to that of Chateauneuf-du-Pape: clay and limestone soils, covered with rolled pebbles.
Cultivated in integrated agriculture, without chemical weed killers, the grape varieties are carefully chosen for their suitability to the terroir. The harvest of these Languedoc IGP wines is done manually at perfect maturity.
The vinification is done in barrels or wooden vats, depending on the color, but always in separate grape varieties, to preserve all the typicity of the wine. Barrel maturation imposes an astonishing singularity on the wines. A sure value of the Languedoc!
